Content Moderation Standards & Enforcement

How Dukkung detects, evaluates, and acts on policy violations using automated safety filters, human reviewers, and creator controls.

Last updated: August 2026Applies to: Indonesian & Global Users

1. Moderation System Architecture

Dukkung employs a layered content moderation system combining automated detection, human review teams, creator empowerment tools, and community reporting.

2. Layer 1: Automated Detection & Filters

  • Profanity & Slur Filters: Automated dictionary matching and phonetic filters applied to incoming donation messages and TTS overlays.
  • Malicious URL Scanners: Automated scanning of external media share links (YouTube, TikTok) to prevent phishing, malware, and IP logger redirection.
  • CSAM & Child Safety Hashing: Automated hash matching (e.g. PhotoDNA / similar registries) to prevent the upload of known child abuse imagery.

3. Layer 2: Human Trust & Safety Review

Complex cases, edge content, and user reports are reviewed by our dedicated human moderation team located in Indonesia with local cultural and linguistic fluency (Bahasa Indonesia and regional slang). Human reviewers assess context, creator intent, and artistic merit before taking punitive action.

4. Graduated Enforcement System (Strikes & Sanctions)

Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, sanctions follow a transparent ladder:

  • Warning & Content Removal: Minor or unintentional policy infractions (e.g., miscategorized shop item).
  • Feature Restriction (Strike 1): Temporary suspension of live stream overlay tools, media share, or new shop uploads for 7 days.
  • Desk Suspension (Strike 2): Full temporary suspension of the Creator Desk for 14 to 30 days. Payouts remain on hold during review.
  • Permanent Termination (Strike 3 / Severe): Irrevocable account closure and permanent forfeiture of platform access for repeat offenses, fraud, gambling, or severe safety threats.

5. The Appeals Process

If you believe your content, product, or Creator Desk was suspended in error, you may submit a formal appeal within 14 days of the enforcement action by emailing appeals@dukkung.com. Appeals are independently re-reviewed by a senior compliance officer.
